For 2012–2017 Camrys, a standard battery fits and AGM is an optional upgrade, worth it if the car sits for long stretches, makes a lot of short trips or runs accessories with the engine off.

2018 and newer Camrys

Gas Camrys from 2018 on were built with either an H5 (47) or an H6 (48) battery, and parts listings do not agree on which cars got which. Rather than guess from the year, the technician reads the label on your current battery or checks the VIN before quoting. From 2025 the Camry is sold only as a hybrid, and its 12-volt battery is matched separately.
