Mobile car battery replacement across Dallas–Fort Worth

Your car will not start, or it is cranking slowly every morning. Skip the jump and the trip to the parts store. Tell us the vehicle and where it is parked, and we bring the right battery and install it there.

How a mobile battery replacement works

  1. Tell us the vehicle. Year, make, model and engine, or just the VIN. Use the battery finder, the booking form or call.
  2. We confirm the battery and the price. Your technician checks the group size, AGM or standard, cold cranking amps and terminal layout against your VIN, then sends you the battery price and labor before heading out.
  3. We install it where the car is. Driveway, apartment lot, office garage or the parking lot you are stuck in.
  4. You pay after it is installed. Nothing is charged until the new battery is in and the vehicle starts.

What we check before we dispatch

Most return trips in this business come from the wrong battery showing up. So before anyone drives to you, we confirm:

  • BCI group size and case dimensions, so the battery fits the tray and the hold-down.
  • AGM or standard flooded. Vehicles that came with AGM, including most start-stop cars, need AGM again.
  • Cold cranking amps at or above the factory rating.
  • Terminal position and type: top post, side post or reversed.
  • Whether the vehicle needs the new battery registered or programmed to its computer, which is common on many European and some newer domestic models.
  • Where the battery sits. Some are under a seat, in the trunk or behind a fender liner and take longer.

Car battery delivery and installation in one visit

Most people who search for a car battery near them end up with two jobs: buy the right battery, then find a way to install it. We do both. The battery is matched to your VIN before we leave, so the size, terminals and AGM or standard construction are right the first time, and installation happens where your car is.

The price is shown before you book. The battery finder lists the battery price, core charge and the labor for your vehicle, from $90 depending on how hard the battery is to reach, and the total before tax.

Where we can replace your battery

Anywhere the vehicle is parked safely and we are allowed to work: your driveway or street, an apartment or condo lot, a parking garage at work, a school or store parking lot, or a hotel and airport lot after a trip. If you are in a garage with a low clearance, mention it when you book so we bring the right setup.

Standard or Platinum AGM?

If your vehicle left the factory with a flooded battery, a Duralast standard battery is the like-for-like replacement. If it came with AGM, or it has auto start-stop, it needs a Duralast Platinum AGM. AGM can also be an upgrade for vehicles with heavy electrical loads, a lot of short trips or long periods parked. Read AGM vs standard batteries for the details.

Common questions

Can I get a car battery delivered and installed?

Yes. That is the whole service: we bring the battery that matches your VIN to where the car is parked, take the old one out, install and secure the new one and make sure the car starts before we leave. The old battery goes with us for recycling. You do not need to buy the battery yourself or get the car to a store.

Do you replace car batteries at home?

Yes, at home and anywhere else the car is parked safely: your driveway or the street outside, an apartment or condo lot, a parking garage at work, or a store or school lot. Tell us about gate codes, parking levels or low-clearance garages when you book.

Is mobile battery replacement available near me?

If you are in Dallas–Fort Worth, very likely. We cover Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton and Rockwall counties and nearby cities. Type your city into the service area map to check, or call and we tell you when a technician can reach you.

What does mobile battery replacement include?

Matching the battery to your VIN, bringing it to you, removing the old battery, installing and securing the new one, making sure the vehicle starts, and taking the old battery for recycling. Vehicles that need the new battery registered to the car are flagged before you approve the price. Your quote lists the battery, core charge, labor and tax separately.

How much does mobile battery replacement cost?

Your total has four parts: the battery’s retail price, a refundable core charge where it applies, installation labor for your vehicle and Texas sales tax. TotalPro batteries are listed from about $119.99, Duralast standard batteries from about $179.99 and Duralast Platinum AGM batteries from about $259.99 before core charge, labor and tax. Labor starts at $90 and depends on how hard the battery is to reach. The battery finder shows the battery price and the labor for your vehicle, and we send the confirmed total before we dispatch. See how pricing works.

How much is installation labor?

Labor depends on how hard the battery is to reach on your vehicle: easy installs are $90, medium $110, hard $130 and complex $150. Some luxury and performance vehicles cost more, and a few, such as the 12-volt battery in many electric vehicles, are quoted after we check the vehicle. Year and engine can change the location of the battery, so we confirm the labor from your VIN. See labor by vehicle.

When do I pay?

After the battery is installed and the vehicle starts. Nothing is charged before the work is done.

How long does the installation take?

Most batteries under the hood take well under an hour once we arrive. Batteries under a seat, in the trunk or behind a fender liner, and vehicles that need the battery registered to the computer, take longer. We tell you what to expect when we confirm your appointment.

My car started after a jump. Do I still need a new battery?

Maybe not, but probably. A jump only gets the engine running; it does not fix a battery that can no longer hold a charge. If the car needed a jump after sitting overnight, or the battery is more than three years old in Texas heat, it is likely near the end. Read battery or alternator to narrow it down.
