Confirmed from your VIN
Our table does not list a battery for these Pilot model years: 2026 or newer, and anything before 2009. Rather than guess, the technician confirms the exact battery from your VIN and sends the full price before dispatch.
Send my VINWhere the battery is on the Pilot
Under the hood, in the engine bay. Pilots from 2016 on use an H6 (48), and many came with an AGM battery for idle-stop, so the trim or the VIN decides whether AGM goes back in.
AGM and start-stop
2021–2025 Pilots need an AGM battery. Every Pilot from 2021 on came with an AGM battery. A standard flooded battery is not a substitute.
On 2016–2020 Pilots, some trims need AGM. Trims with the 9-speed transmission and idle-stop (Touring, Elite, Black Edition) came with an AGM battery; 6-speed trims use a standard battery. If yours has auto start-stop, or the battery in it now is labeled AGM, it needs AGM again.
For 2009–2015 Pilots, a standard battery fits and AGM is an optional upgrade, worth it if the SUV sits for long stretches, makes a lot of short trips or runs accessories with the engine off.
Whatever the table says, we replace AGM with AGM: if the battery in your SUV is labeled AGM, a flooded battery is not a substitute. Read AGM vs standard batteries.
